Turn over a new leaf - today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Over the course of my 33 year career as a therapist, I have evolved through my own life experiences and the issues and challenges clients have brought into session. When I began practicing in 1991, we weren't looking at the brain or even didn't really know much about the complexity and the "how" of the brain. We know so much more now ~ what excites me the most is our own personal ability to "dismantle" the hard wiring of the brain and build new neural connections for mental and emotional health. THAT is huge!  Research has fostered improved treatment practices in the areas of trauma, attachment styles, and developmental issues experienced over the lifespan. Clients stuck in repetitive ways of communicating, relating, and behaving can find hope as these patterns are understood, dismantled, and new neuron connections are built. Not easy, yet nothing worthwhile comes with easy.

I am currently enrolled in an online one year training in the Developmental Model. The model has what I know and practiced throughout my career. Yet, the linkage and understanding of how to work with couples where attachment styles, trauma, and developmental issues are obstacles to the health and growth of a deep and enduring relationship have been invaluable in the work I now do with clients. To see hope return for my clients is so exciting!

If you're looking for support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
